ASACP Honors AVN, AdultWebmasterNet, LALExpo as Featured Sponsors for March

LOS ANGELES (March 1, 2023) — ASACP, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection, is pleased to name AVN, AdultWebmasterNet, and LALExpo as Featured Sponsors for March 2023.

ASACP’s Featured Sponsors rank among the digital media industry’s most respected companies. These industry leaders demonstrate how corporate responsibility, ethical business practices, and several simple technical measures can help protect minors and other sensitive users from accidental exposure to age-restricted materials online.

As a nonprofit association, ASACP relies on the continued support of the companies and organizations willing to assume a proactive leadership role in the fight to protect children from online harm.

“ASACP’s family of sponsors highlight the industry’s efforts to protect the innocence of youth,” said ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning. “These market leaders work in unison to safeguard children while improving the online experience for adults.”

ASACP’s ongoing successes are made possible by its sponsors’ generous guidance and support. From free child protection resources to market-specific Best Practices, and a comprehensive Code of Ethics for app and age-restricted website publishers, ASACP provides the tools that companies need to keep minors out of and away from age-restricted content. Positioned at the pinnacle of ASACP’s achievements is its RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-labeling system that prevents children’s access to adult-oriented web pages and apps; and its CP Reporting Tipline, which has processed more than 1.25 million reports to date.

As with all ASACP services, these tools are available thanks to the generosity of its sponsors, such as March’s Featured Sponsors — AVN, AdultWebmasterNet, and LALExpo.

AVN Media Network

A Platinum Sponsor since 2002, the AVN Media Network has a long and generous history of support for ASACP and its noble mission. The company is the definitive source for adult entertainment news and information covering the evolution of this multibillion-dollar global industry. AVN helps set the standard for the business of pleasure by delivering unparalleled content reaching industry professionals, mainstream media, and a diverse spectrum of consumer groups and communities.

AVN protects children from accessing adult-oriented material on its websites by utilizing RTA labeling as a proactive protective measure. It has also been generous to the association financially and through material support, extending its hospitality at AVN events by providing advertising services, underwriting hotel accommodations, and participating in ASACP’s Advisory Council.

AdultWebmasterNet

An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2012, AdultWebmasterNet.com is a traffic services firm that sells adult website traffic, putting it in a position to work with many sites — and it does so with a distinct sense of corporate responsibility.

For example, the company reviews all traffic requests to ensure they meet a set of minimum standards, such as the lack of underage depictions or even any allusion to this material. AdultWebmasterNet also publishes its own set of Best Practices, which include encouraging clients to become sponsors of ASACP and adopt the RTA labeling protocol — actions that spread the word about the need to protect children online and in mobile apps.

Although it is based overseas, AdultWebmasterNet voluntarily complies with various U.S. federal laws, such as 18 U.S.C. §2257, which mandates performer age verification, illustrating the “going above and beyond” mindset of ASACP’s top sponsors and supporters.

LALExpo

An Official ASACP Media Sponsor since 2017, the Latin America Adult Business Expo (LALExpo) targets the vibrant Latin American market, attracting a growing international and Latin-American audience from companies representing all aspects of the online and adult business world. Because LALExpo is a business-to-business, education, and trade event, the general public is not permitted to attend, but a diverse range of companies from the billing, mobile tech, ad network, affiliate sector, and more are in attendance. This executive event is capped by the LALExpo Awards, honoring excellence across dozens of industry and market segments.

“Colombia has emerged as a vibrant center of the global camming community and broader digital media market. LALExpo’s goal has always been to promote excellence and responsibility among the companies in this space,” Anthony Rivera, an organizer of the event and co-founder of AJ Studios, said. “Our roots are in the camming community, and we serve this group made up of countless independent performers, providing an opportunity for all adults who wish to make a living and support their families and themselves through today’s technology.”

“Of course, with this opportunity comes a great responsibility to do the right thing and to help ensure that only those who are legally able to enjoy camming and other adult entrepreneurial activities are doing so,” Rivera added. “This is why we support ASACP and its mission to educate and professionalize the industry in the name of protecting children, as well as restrict attendance at our event to adult business professionals only.”

“ASACP appreciates AVN, AdultWebmasterNet, and LALExpo for their commitment, generosity, and leadership in supporting the association and its mission to keep children out of and away from adult-oriented content,” Henning concluded. “ASACP’s sponsors are building a better future for the industry and society’s most vulnerable members. We thank them for this and encourage others to support our efforts on behalf of the children.”
